Meet Vicar Joel
Dear Little Lambs Families,
We hope you had a great Thanksgiving celebration!
I have had the privilege of meeting most of you, but for those I have not, my name is Joel Schuldheisz and I am currently the Vicar (that’s a pastor in training) at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (GSLC). Pastor Eilers is my mentor, coach and supervisor here at GSLC as I take classes online at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.
After 35 years as a Professor of Exercise Science at Concordia University in Portland, Oregon, I am happy that God has called me to serve here in Tacoma. I am also thrilled that to be able to teach bible time and an occasional physical education class for the Little Lambs students.
As we prepare for the coming of the Christ-child I wanted you to know about our upcoming special services (following WA State Health Department protocol):
- Advent Mid-week services will be held online (pre-recorded with a link posted on our website)
- Little Lambs Christmas Program – this will be pre-recorded and shown during the 8:30 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. services on Sunday, December 20th. If you’re not able to attend, we will have a link available after the service.
- Christmas Eve 6:30 p.m. (we are still planning to meet live at this point)
- Christmas Day 10:00 a.m. (we are still planning to meet live at this point)
You are welcome to attend any of these special services or come to our regular Sunday morning services at 8:30 a.m. or 10:15 a.m. If you have any special prayer requests, other needs, or would like a follow up visit, please feel free to contact me!
